Coach Mook Stockdale

Coach Mook “Shine” Stockdale is a Harlem native and an educator, philanthropist, entrepreneur and great basketball coach. He attended All Hallows High School in the Bronx and went on to Skidmore College and City College. Coach Mook has coached hoops for over 25 years and worked with youth at organizations such as the Harlem YMCA, Woodycrest Youth and Development, Harlem Children’s Zone and competitive travel programs, assisting them in gaining admission to high schools and colleges. Bottom line, Shine is committed to the youth and the Harlem community and is a tremendous addition to the Castle coaching ranks. In 2023-2024, Coach Mook led the Boys 14U team to multiple tournament championships and culminated with National Championships on both the Puma NXT Circuit and the Zero Gravity Circuit.  Coach Mook repeated his leadership in 2025 on the Puma Pro16 Circuit, leading the B15U team through a dominant season and to the Final Four, while also winning championships at the Ballin on the Beach tournament and the Zero Gravity Nationals.
