Coach EJ Bell 

Coach Bell played high school ball for Thomas Jefferson High School.  He has been coaching on the high school scene at Washington Heights High School for the past ten years, serving as Head JV Coach, winning the Junior Varsity “AA” Championship in 2017 while going 30-1, and Assistant Varsity Coach.  On the travel circuit, Coach Bell has coached at Riverside and with the Renaissance Warriors.    He loves coaching and giving back to the community and teaching young men to become better in life on and off the court.

 

 

 

 

Coach Ghandhi Martin

With a lifelong dedication to the game of basketball, Coach Martin brings decades of experience as both a player and a mentor.  Ghandhi played scholastically three years at Power Memorial High School before completing his high school career and graduating from St. Raymond’s High School.  He went on to play four years at Mercy College, where he continued to develop his understanding of the game at a higher level.  For over 20 years,  Ghandhi has coached AAU travel basketball, guiding and developing athletes who have gone on to compete at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.  His deep knowledge of the game is further supported by more than 15 years as a certified and one of the highest rated high school basketball officials, giving him a unique and well-rounded perspective on player development, game strategy and sportsmanship.  Above all, Ghandhi believes basketball is a vehicle for growth beyond the court.  As he often says, “I’m not just a basketball coach – I’m a mentor who coaches basketball.” His commitment to leadership, discipline, and character development is at the core of everything he brings to the game.
