Coach EJ Bell
Coach Bell played high school ball for Thomas Jefferson High School. He has been coaching on the high school scene at Washington Heights High School for the past ten years, serving as Head JV Coach, winning the Junior Varsity “AA” Championship in 2017 while going 30-1, and Assistant Varsity Coach. On the travel circuit, Coach Bell has coached at Riverside and with the Renaissance Warriors. He loves coaching and giving back to the community and teaching young men to become better in life on and off the court.
Coach Brian Rosen
Brian has been involved in coordinating and coaching youth sports for over forty years, having coached youth basketball and soccer teams in Texas and New York. In leading the Chappaqua Youth Soccer Club, a competitive travel soccer program, Brian increased participation by over 400% and, through the training provided enhanced the development and success of the Chappaqua scholastic teams. For Castle, Brian has grown the program from one team in 2008 to the current fourteen teams, providing academic and social enrichment to thousands of student athletes and opportunities to seek and obtain higher education. When not serving Castle Athletics, Brian is a partner and attorney at Proskauer Rose in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice. Currently, Brian has been involved in the restructuring of the indebtedness of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its agencies.
Coach Souleymane “Sal” Koureissi
Coach Koureissi played his scholastic basketball at Iona Prep, where he led the Gaels to fantastic CHSAA success, and his travel basketball for Castle Athletics where he starred on teams that thrived on the Adidas Silver and Gold Circuits. Following graduation, Sal went on to play four years at University of Richmond and, with the benefit of an NCCA-authorized extra year, a graduate year at Radford University. Castle welcomes Sal back to lead the charges of the B17U team and provide the leadership and guidance that only a veteran of two D1 programs can provide.
