Castle KenKen a Can-Can
announced December 15, 2014
On Saturday, Castle hosted its first KenKen demonstration for its student-athletes. For those who do not know, KenKen is a grid-based numerical puzzle that has been proven to “make you smarter” and help with your math studies in school. Over 80 players from Castle’s 3rd through 8th grade teams participated. The program was led by KenKen President Robert Fuhrer and his colleague Steve Cownie. Participants handled the simple 3x3 grids and worked their way up the ladder before taking on the difficult 9x9 puzzles. It was a great time--players loved it and learned from it. Many thanks to the KenKen team, the Castle coaches and the Castle players for participating.
